Bon Secours Baltimore Health System was established as the first Bon Secours Hospital in the United States of America in 1919. Now part of the Bon Secours Health System, Inc. based in Marriottsville, Maryland, BSBHS provides comprehensive health services to the same West Baltimore Community that the Sisters of Bon Secours served in 1881. more history...

Faith Nurse Ministry
BSBHS coordinates health services and health education in our five senior buildings, area senior centers and faith communities thru the joint services of the Bon Secours Faith Nurse Ministry recognizing that programs do not operate in isolation, but rather demonstrate a distinctly successful model of health care and community integration, using technology and partnership as the tools to move beyond traditional and limiting practices in the prevention and treatment of chronic disease.

Statement of Mission
The Faith Community Nurse is to be a vehicle of Christ’s healing love and an enabler for persons in cooperation with the ministers and people of the faith communities of West Baltimore. This ministry serves the sick, suffering, poor and dying in their homes and faith communities by facilitating and monitoring the delivery of physical and spiritual care, emotional support, health care counseling and referral, health education and screening services.
