Bon Secours St. Francis Health System has developed a parish nurse program based on the Scope & Standards of Practice of Faith Community Nursing.
 

 

We will:
  • Develop a health ministry that fits your congregation
  • Assist in recruitment and hiring including background check, verification of references and licensure
  • Provide educational and spiritual programs and a yearly retreat for covenanted parish nurses
  • Meet monthly with covenanted nurses to discuss ongoing pastoral practice, resources, needs, education and provide mutual support
  • Consult with congregational leadership to facilitate the work of the parish nurse or health minister
  • Provide annual collaborative evaluation using the nations standards of parish nursing practice
  • Provide access to the Bon Secours Health Community website
